Lori Ellingford is pursuing a doctorate in Educational Psychology at Arizona State University in the Mary Lou Fulton College of Education's Division of Psychology in Education. She earned a master's in Counseling from Northern Arizona University and a bachelor's in Family Science from Brigham Young University. Ellingford has been a content developer and editor in the publishing field for nine years. She currently is a curriculum designer and former editor for an educational publisher, OdysseyWare, Inc. She specializes in writing online social science courses for high school students. Ellingford has also developed online and print curriculum for Waterford Press, Alpha Omega Publications, Sequoia Charter School, and BYU’s Center for Instructional Design.
In addition, Ellingford freelances as a writer and developmental editor for other local publishers and private companies. She had fourteen short stories published in Stateside Sounds and two interest articles on deafness and travel printed for Schoolhouse Network She continues to write Web copy for various school districts throughout Arizona.
Ellingford is interested in research on the role of motivation, attitude formation, and emotional affect in the learning process, particularly for the online education venue.
