Sherman Elliott has over 13 years of instructional experience at the primary, high school, and community college levels. He has served as an adjunct faculty member of the Maricopa Community College system for 12 years, teaching both on-line, hybrid, and in-person courses in history, government, world religions, and political science. He has served as the Lead Instructor for Religious Studies at Rio Salado College where he designed on-line courses and was a resource person to other instructors teaching religious studies courses. He taught at Brophy College Preparatory for six years where he was the Religious Studies Department Chairperson and the Rio Salado Dual Enrollment Coordinator, in addition to teaching courses in macroeconomics, world religions and ethics. Mr. Elliott also holds administrative certification as a principal and served as a principal for three years at St. John Bosco School in Awatukee, a PK-8 elementary school.

As a lecturer in the College of Teacher Education and Leadership at Arizona State University, Sherman relishes daily the opportunities of preparing undergraduate and graduate learners to be teacher-leaders in elementary and secondary education. Concurrently with teaching, he is completing his doctoral studies in Teaching Innovation and Leadership with research interests in the use of narrative devises and case studies to achieve deep learning in world religions courses.
