Derek Fay is pursuing a doctorate in Measurement, Statistics, and Methodological Studies at Arizona State University. He studied microbiology and psychology at the University of Iowa and completed his undergraduate work in psychology at Arizona State University. Derek has taught undergraduate courses in Motivation and Learning & Memory. Currently, he is a teaching assistant for an undergraduate human development course and a data analyst for the Science Induction program in Curriculum and Instruction. Derek has interests in ethics, philosophy of science, and research at the intersection of psychology and law. His current research interests include item-response theory (IRT), quantifiable mediation hypotheses, and evidentiary reasoning.
