Sandra Foster

Sandra is a Gates Millennium Scholar and a doctoral student in the Educational Leadership and Policy Studies program in the College of Education at Arizona State University. Her academic background consists of a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX, a Masters of Arts Degree in Developmental and Adult Education from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, TX, and her teaching certificate from Southwest Texas State University. Her research interests include educational policy, opportunity to learn, equality and equity, program evaluation, high stakes testing, urban education, culture and schooling, teacher education, and access to higher education for traditionally marginalized groups. She has 10 years experience of teaching at elementary, middle, and high school levels in public schools and currently teaches Culture and Schooling at Arizona State University.
