Juan Carlos González earned his bachelor's degrees at California State University, San Bernardino, in Spanish Literature and Philosophy, with a minor in History. His master's degree was completed at Ohio State University in Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs. He is currently a doctoral candidate in the division of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Arizona State University's College of Education. His areas of emphases within education are Policy Studies, Research Methods, Higher Education, and Social and Philosophical Foundations. His academic interests include multicultural and Latino/Chicano educational issues, effects of the schooling environment on minorities, and educational history. He presently co-teaches Culture and Schooling for his department, and is co-authoring a book chapter on Chicanos and Education, both endeavors under the guidance of Dr. Eric Margolis.
