Amina Turton is currently a doctoral student in the Arizona State University College of Education, Emotional and Behavioral Disorders program. She has worked as a teacher and behavioral specialist internationally in the field of EBD for 13 years. Her research interests focus on service delivery, assessment, and interventions for children that are identified as having emotional and behavioral disorders. She has worked internationally within the field of behavioral disorders, particularly with those children that have been placed in the most restrictive of settings. She continues her education with the goal of promoting a deeper understanding of the changing needs of this population and to facilitate the emergence of strategies that set the stage for deeper level of engagement between professionals and the children they serve.
