Wayne E. Wright

Wayne E. Wright is doctoral student in the Educational Leadership and Policy Studies program. Prior to coming to Arizona State University, Wayne was an elementary school teacher (grades K - 2nd) in Long Beach, California. Wayne taught in one of the only true Cambodian (Khmer) bilingual education programs in the country. He also served as a mentor teacher, and was the head of his school's technology committee. He lived and worked for over a year in Cambodia where he taught at the Institute of Economics, and provided technical assistance and training for human rights and student organizations. Wayne's research interests include bilingual education, standards and testing, and policy issues affecting the education of language minority students.
