Reviewers

Current Issues in Education maintains a database of reviewers from which reviewers are selected for adhoc blind review. Reviewers are drawn from the larger education community and the reviewer database comprises of scholars from all levels of the academic experience.

The Review Process
Each submission is reviewed by the editor and the CIE editorial board to determine if the submission is appropriate for the journal and is ready for blind peer-review. When submissions are deemed appropriate for peer-review, they are prepared as a webpage/web-site on CIE's intranet. An associate editor is assigned the submission.

Reviewers on CIE's reviewer database who have expressed an interest in the submission's area of interest are emailed with the URL to the submission. As a reviewer, you may choose to review as many manuscripts as you wish. We request that you review a minimum of three manuscripts per year and return within three weeks your recommendations on each that you review. Normally, all correspondence with authors, reviewers, and editors are conducted using electronic mail. Guidelines for reviewers are available at http://cie.ed.asu.edu/reviewers/guidelines.html.

One of the goals of CIE is to provide access to scholarship at no cost to the reader, without compromising the quality of scholarship.
